The Larry is a rubber ball the size of a bowling ball - with two finger holes, it weighs approximately 13 lb. It is made of solid rubber and it bounces!! It's the biggest and heaviest ball we make, it even bounces on carpet!!
NOTE: This ball is not intended to be used to bowl on a bowling lane - it is intended to be used as a release training device and a two-handed swing training aid. This is a coaching and training tool.
All of our tools are made of a durable and flexible silicone rubber (latex free).
How The Larry got its name: Our very dear friend, Joe Nemcek, ordered a full-size rubber bowling ball for his pro shop, https://newimagesportshop.com/, in Dolton, IL. He noted that it took a little longer for us to make this tool. Our explanation was that there are at least 3 layers of silicone used to make the ball (and sometimes more) and it takes time for each layer to harden. When Joe received his full-sized rubber bowling ball, he commented that it was in fact very layer-y. He laughed (and we laughed!) when he told us he had named his ball Larry, because of its many layers. The name stuck! Thanks Joe, for the great work you do for your customers and for always making us laugh. :)

Because of this, you may find that your device has a dot or streak of color you weren't expecting, or small imperfections that are non impacting to the performance of the product. We like to call these the "character" that makes your device one-of-a-kind!

The Larry is head and shoulders better than the 3/4 2-handed swing trainer which wasn't bad at all. But the Larry allows the player to actually roll the trainer across the floor while focusing on keeping the middle of the trainer and the arm and hand within the vertical plane. Great training tool!

I've had The Larry for a couple months and have been using it to improve my 2 handed release. I throw a 15# ball so I ordered the 13# version and its a good weight. I think the 10# version would have been too light. The finger holes in The Larry were obviously too large but I inserted a couple of my old inserts (after shortening them a bit) and they fit snugly in The Larry so now I have a really accurate feel during my release drills. The one item that prevented me from giving this a 5 star rating is that The Larry leaves an oily feel on my hands. In fact when I left The Larry on my floor, it left a wet oil mark, which thankfully came off. However, after 2 months it still feels a bit oily. Perhaps its only my Larry, not sure. Anyways, I recommend this product and it has helped my 2 handed game.

Use anywhere makes a great slam ball! Holes seem to be set up for a fingertip grip and a two hand style of bowling
