Somewhat disappointed in the product. Not as heavy as needed to simulate an actual bowling ball release. Somewhat over priced. You could actually hurt your fingers if practicing in the "reverse" position. Buyer beware.

Any fault I have with this product is 100% my problem as I am a bad bowler that is still learning. Pros: The product is well made and responds just like you see in the video. You do feel the wrist snap that it is trying to teach. Cons: Unless you are teaching groups, the cost is fairly high for an individual. No thumb position to aid release training. Originally developed as a baseball trainer (Baseball Buddy imprinted in rubber). Not heavy enough to actually practice control of a release.

As a Senior bowler - I have been using this tool to help me gain strength in my wrists and forearms - great while I'm watching TV - do reps every day.

A well-made product that helps the student bowler get the feel of the yo-yo style of release. When you first use the trainer, you may discover that your wrist needs some strengthening. I believe that the trainer lets you get the feel of the snap that makes the release effective (don't overdue the snap!). You don't get this sensation as readily while trying to manipulate the bowling ball.

I recently received this product 4 days ago, and I have noticed an improvement in my ball roll. The first time I practiced after using the 'Release Trainer' I shot a 214 and a 212. On my league night I had a 223, 167, and 196 for 586. The second game was my old habit release, so I think it will still takes some time to make in muscle memory, but overall I am pleased.

I never have felt the transfer of my bowling ball to my fingers. This device has shown me what that transfer should feel like.I like it because I can practice at home and since it weighs significantly less than my ball I am less likely to injure myself. The release trainer is also well made.

Love the release trainer

I love it! I've seen significant improvement with my release on the lanes after doing 15 minutes of the release trainer broken up into segments of about 5 minutes each totaling about 1000 reps. The only thing is my knuckles started to hurt initially only because I had my fingers too far in I think. Perhaps that's something future videos can point out but I guess it's common sense. Most of us don't put our fingers in the bowling ball down to the knuckles so...lol. Also I would like more info on how often I can do this without risking repetitive stress injury because I'm hooked on it and could do it all day long!.........R.J.

This is a great tool for training the proper release for todays bowling balls. If you have problems curing the lift problem in your release this product is for you!!

This trainer is supposed to simulate what you are supposed to feel on your finger tips as you create the yoyo motion and you do really feel the pressure. You will instantly notice the difference or similarity of your release. For me my release is similar but I can tell my flaw was that I was using a bit of muscle with it and hitting up just a tad bit. I wish I could send videos to properly identify my release, but so far this trainer helped instantly. My wrist and forearm were sore from so much training I had begun to do with this release trainer and combine this with the power, feel, and rev trainer I think you can get that ideal world class release used by pros. For now I only have the release trainer and honestly that and the feel trainer are a GREAT place to start. Absolutely love my release trainer.

I love this product. It trains the unloading motion like a yo-yo and it is more efficient van the old school Release Technique of an Up Hit on the Bowling Ball. Revolutions are easier and higher. An added benefit is that it strengthens the fingers and the forearm tendons for this particular Release Technique. Your fingertips no longer burn from the friction created on the up hip motion AKA old school release.
